Camelot and Climate Change

     The Legislature of the State of South Dakota distinguished itself by passing an anti-climate change resolution–House Concurrent Resolution No. 1009–late last month,it attemptemps  to stabilize the state’s climate by decree. Instead, it called for “the balanced teaching of global warming” in South Dakota’s public schools, borrowing the language and tactics of the ongoing campaign to force the teaching of creationism alongside evolution in America’s schools. And it is also planned that  the state’s schools should teach that global warming is a theory rather than a proven fact.

5th Recognition Day

You might thinking  “whos this”, right?

This picture is me together with our beloved President Mr. Jose A. Hernandez, this is the moment of my first achievement in my college life.

Way back when I was in first year, I never been expecting that I could be attentive as other does. I was too surprise to find myself being knowledgeable one, not too, hehehe. Actually until now, I can’t believe that I could do it. As the saying goes “if others can do, why can’t I?” and I do believe it.

In our section before, I can’t almost believe founding myself gets a higher scores. Calling my name who gets a high score, couldn’t explain how does it really feels, unfamiliar felling I mean. And then as the time passes, I realized “I should continue what I’ve started.” And I think I’d never failed to do it. Being a student, I do my part to be aggressive one. Since the last year getting over, after signing of our clearance, as I receive it there was a message confirming me to attend the 5^th Recognition Day held at Lawaan Campus. I was too surprise, but actually I already see my name being with the rank. But I can’t avoid to be still surprise. Behind of this unexpected feeling I was fully happy and I’m fully proud with myself.

As my family knows about it, they were also surprised. And how I wish they continue supporting me not just in financially but emotionally too. I was lucky to have them. They were my inspiration. Ever!

How I wish I could still have this opportunity to be with the rank again. May I could take my examination well. May I continue believing myself and hopefully I could have a good job soon. May God continue guiding me, and shower His blessings as well.

Spending my vacation break?

Class is getting over! Remember it’s closing of 1^st semester and then it’s sem break. I could usually say, sem break is mixed of joy and sadness. Joyful because finally I could rest not just physically but mentally as well. I could awake as late as I want, but still I always arrived late, maybe I was just tired in our enjoying our swimming, hehehehe. Sadness because I usually love be at school always. I could have my own money, my allowance but of course I want to learn more specially in our major subject. I really enjoy blogging, at first its hard for me to explore it, but suddenly I almost taking it easier as it is.

Few weeks before as I have deicide I was suppose to spent my vacation time to have some fun with my family and then the rest of my time, having bonding to my close friends. But unfortunately, I receive a message from my brother, that my Auncle  was pass away there in Ilo- ilo. And my mother wants to be there, and she ask  me to be there too., well there’s nothing to say “no” though it was not to enjoy, but it could be memorable being there and of course we could also visit our relatives. It may also the time to meet again all the member of family (in my mother side).

As what I’ve say, if there were still have time, I would like to be happy together with my friend. We will also go to my classmate house, to attend baptism of her first baby boy. And finally I would be a godmother. Hehehe! May I enjoy my vacation.! To all of my classmates too.

This is  about a daughter which recalling her memorable moment of past together with her mother and father, how his father get her happy, the happy things she encountered with her father, and then how  his father left them, the moment she actually seen how her mother get so lonely, and how she prayed, just to comeback her father, and especially the love of daughter to her mother, she was willing to do such things just to comfort her mother.

Though it was not happen to my real life, it’s very meaningful to me. Simply because I also have my mother and father who’s always there for me.

“Education”

How Education really does.?

Education is the process by which person learns facts and skills, develops abilities and attitudes.

Education has [2] two senses to determine. In a BROADEST SENSE, Education is an act or experience that has a formative effect on mind, character or physical ability of an individual. The individual being educated develops physically, mentally, emotionally, morally, and socially. And in a TECHNICAL SENSE, Education is a process by which Society deliberately transmit its own accumulated knowledge, skills,  cultures, and values, hands down from one generation to another.

Education could be learned and accomplished through our teachers, a family, a church or any other group in the Society. First Education is usually carried out by the school, through our teachers. The teachers in Educational Institution direct the Education of student and might draw on many subjects, including reading and writing. The history of Education is concerned with the theories, methods, administrations, problems of school, and other agencies of information both formal and informal, throughout the world from ancient times up to the present.

Therefore I conclude, that Education must one’s to achieve. It has a very big contribution to our life’s goals. Everyone has a right that describe as the Human Right to have Education. One’s should take the opportunities that given to us, through the sacrifice of our parents. Be Educated.

DUNGOG INDIGENOUS PEOPLES FESTIVAL 2009

Dungog (Indigenous Peoples Festival 2009)

Capiz Provincial Government through the leadership of Governor Victor Tanco, Sr., with the Sub Commission on Cultural Communities and Traditional Arts (SCCTA) of National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) will celebrate DUNGOG: Indigenous Peoples Festival 2009 at Villareal Stadium, Roxas City Philippines on October 2-6, 2009.

This Festival intends to highlight the best practices in the various cultural communities all over the country. This year’s celebration is envisioned as a celebration of peace, bringing together representatives of various ethno-linguistic groups of which 18 major cultural communities will feature their traditional houses, cultural resources, practices/rituals, chants, music songs, and dances, stories, traditional arts and crafts, and indigenous games. During the festival, traditional artists and cultural masters will be recognized and discussion fora or IP rights and other concerns on preservation, promotion, and development of traditional, culture will also be included.

The communities will have simultaneous inter-active activities such a performances, exhibitions, fora, lecture demonstrations and workshops on traditional crafts and cruising, and indigenous games while at the same time, a particular tradition of community will be highlighted for the appreciation and understanding of IP culture.
